You're probably familiar with the incredibly prolific bottles of Dr. Bronner’s Castille soap, but have you made it part of your morning routine? Now is the time.

Sure, men’s shower gels and soaps now command miles of counterspace in department stores, but sometimes too much of a good thing can actually be too much. We’re not saying there isn’t merit to some high-end cleansers, but when it comes to getting clean, smelling fresh and a good value, nothing beats Dr. Bronner’s Castille Soap.

Founded in 1948 by Emanuel Heilbronner, an immigrant soap-maker from Germany who liked to proselytize and originally distributed soap to those who attended his lectures encouraging all to unite “as one.” Eventually, Heilbronner, who by this point drops the “Heil” from his name due to the rise of Hitler (smart decision), realizes many are attending his lectures purely for his soap – not his words of wisdom. So, Dr. Bronner begins to sell bottles of his soap full-time and prints the tenets of his teachings on the soap bottle labels instead.
Use it with a shower pouf or bath sponge for best results. At first glance the liquid may appear thin and watery, but a small amount goes a long way and creates enough suds to wash your entire body – twice.
We at the Inevitable Gentleman prefer the Almond Hemp scent, but for a rousing (and we do mean rousing) pick-me-up, try the Peppermint, but don’t say we didn’t warn you.
